[Edit 4/27/22: The CCP is poisoning its citizens with tainted food.]
It takes a lot to provoke my wife’s ire. I, of all people, know this. She’s a very forgiving person. Thankfully towards me.
But I think it was the screaming that got to my wife. And the carting off and the possible murdering of resisting citizens. And the starvation of 25 million people. And the killing of household pets. And… all of the other totalitarian measures taken in a society where the people own nothing and like it.
When she spoke with her friends, none of them had heard about the lockdowns. That, to her, was just as heartbreaking. Her friends are not hermits. They are very aware of current events and yet knew nothing of these atrocities. Is it because the corporate media short changed the story? Is it because the sounds from other horrendous happenings in the world drowned out the screams?
Here is what is happening in Shanghai:
As residents scream from their high-rise windows, drones fly through the city declaring “Please comply with covid restrictions. Control your soul’s desire for freedom. Do not open windows or sing.” (Emphasis mine.)
At least the CCP recognizes the concept of a soul but singing?
And yet the souls cannot control their desires for freedom:
(A note: if you click through to view this on Twitter, other postings from this user containing videos come with warnings from the twits: The following media includes potentially sensitive content. Why does Twitter need to warn people of video content that shows no violence? Could the CCP have come calling?)
This is zero tolerance covid. If one person has it, everyone shares in the consequences. Even the more draconian health officials in the Western world are realizing that the lockdowns did little, if anything, to stem the spread of the disease. So why are the Chinese—who claimed “very few deaths” during the initial pandemic—freaking out about 250,000 (1% percent) confirmed cases (most listed as “asymptomatic”) among 25 million people?
Twenty-five million people. That equates to locking down most of Texas.
In Shanghai, the city is a crowded maze of high-rise apartment buildings with millions of residents stacked together in tiny boxes. Those who test positive are hauled off to hospital warehouses. The citizens cannot leave their apartments, not even to go to a grocery store where the shelves are bare anyway. It is no wonder that the military has been called in.
This is a humanitarian crisis just as bad as others presently occurring, such as in Ukraine, the coming food shortages in third world countries, and even on our southern border. These are all self-inflicted. You’d kind of get the inkling that maybe our world leaders aren’t incompetent but are purposeful in their bungling.
Of course, China’s moves may have more to do with economic pressure than “protecting” their valued serfs.
