[Note: I’ve been vacationing and spending time with my kids for the last month. Just so you don’t think I’m missing in action, I’m reposting this piece. This was originally published on April 14, 2022, before I gained a lot of new subscribers, (and thank you for subscribing!) so, many of you have not yet read it. I believe it’s timely as Kevin McCarthy released his version of the Contract with America last Friday. It’s weak and non-specific. God help us and the Republican Party.]
It should be absolutely obvious that from at least 2015 to the present there has been a tremendous systematic attempt to destroy our Republic. [Serious scholars can trace it further back.] There has been…
Russia, Russia, Russia!
The juvenile attempt to use impeachment as a political tool. Twice.
Covid, Covid, Covid!
It was the constant fight against the president’s policies that nearly crippled not only his administration but did great damage to his abilities to stem the tide of illegal immigration, conduct foreign policy, and bring peace and prosperity to our nation. His ability to navigate the constant barrage from these charlatan pigs was amazing and, despite the onslaught, he delivered on his campaign promises. How refreshing. And America began to flourish again.
Finally, election theft. Yes, I absolutely believe that there was a concerted effort to subvert the electoral process. Whether through physical ballot tampering utilizing mail-in ballots, or the illegal efforts of miscreants like Mark Zuckerberg to influence turnout and stuff unattended ballot boxes, or the total suppression of Hunter’s laptop from hell story, this election was tainted and the true winner is not occupying the White House. All of this was perpetrated by the “Deep State” in conjunction with the Democratic Party. (Yes, I’m an election denier!)
Make no mistake, this was a direct attack on the American people—all people. If there are powers that can steal elections from Republicans, these same forces can dictate who, during Democratic primaries, will run in general elections. Democrats should wake up to this level of corruption or else face the same fate that’s aimed at middle America.
Gain & Retain Power
We should understand that this is the only reason the Democratic party exists: to gain and retain power. The power players of that party do not care about core values—for it is painfully obvious that they have none. They see wokeness as a means and the purveyors of that particular hate as but tools to help them achieve the autocracy that they desire. As with lessons from all successful totalitarian movements, the tools are often the first to meet with the grinder. I hope these useful idiots understand that.
We can change this and we must. Remember, these political parties are but vehicles for candidates to run for office. Most of these candidates are in it for the power, the recognition, the opportunity to cash-in, or any number of narcissistic neuroses that occupy their demented souls. It doesn’t matter what brand (R or D) they represent; they just want in the game.
To be fair, I have met many officeholders, of both parties, at most levels of government that are there for the “right” reasons—they truly believe they can make a difference—however that may be defined. Nonetheless, once in office, many are seduced by the dark side because that really is the only game in town. Many realize they stepped into the darkness and get out before they lose their souls. And some just close their eyes and go through the motions of being important to a few people, who will then forget them once they leave office.
We have to change the game to win and in we, I mean all of us, regardless of the brand for which we cheer.
Two Votes
We, as Americans, have two votes: the one at the ballot box and the one you carry in your wallet.
As far as your economic vote is concerned, it is difficult to boycott corrupted corporations, especially while they control the lion’s share of commerce in which we participate daily. But messages can be sent.
Stop going to the games when Major League Baseball pulls the All Star Game from Atlanta, with a black population of 34% and plays it in Denver with a black population of 5% over “race-based” election reform in Georgia (boy, that taught them a lesson!). Don’t buy their Chinese-manufactured over-priced logo-branded products. Stop watching the games on TV. The NFL and NBA also should be dealt with in similar manner.
When Disney creates a false narrative over education reform, stop letting your kids watch their movies. Don’t go to Disney theme parks or on their cruise ships and don’t buy their China-made, over-priced branded crap either. (It seems that the vote has been cast.)
But the more important vote that you control is, of course, on election day. This vote should be cast with focused thought. The upcoming mid-terms will, as predicted, go to the Republicans unless Covid 2, The Empire Strikes Back comes to a neighborhood near you. But, if everything goes as expected, the other brand will take over. What happens then? Investigations into the laptop from hell and impeachment of Hidin’ Biden? So what? There are battles that should be fought with greater consequences for our Republic than yanking out an incontinent incompetent nincompoop and replacing him with a cackling fool.
The Contract
Newt Gingrich was a master politician, at least for one brief moment in modern political history. He nationalized the elections with the Contract with America that showed the contrast between the feckless Democrats and a new, younger generation of politicians armed with a to-do list of new policies that were extremely appealing to middle America. And they mostly worked: welfare reform, balanced budgets, and a seriousness that had been lacking in Republican legislators for decades prior.
Rick Scott’s and Kevin McCarthy’s little lists don’t cut it. “Hey, citizens, we got a few kind of cool ideas we think you’ll like. Vote Republican! Hell Yeah!” And Biden or Harris will veto that crap before it makes it to their desk.
If the leadership is content to play the same old game, then we’re just wasting time. The table needs to be set before a new, hopefully, America First president is inaugurated in 2025. Get to specifics and defend them. THIS is the hill to die on.
So, Bye, Bye to Mitch and Kevin. The Republicans need new leadership if we are going to fix this sinking ship.
Bureaucracy reform should top the list. Serious committee hearings must expose the current “Deep State” and develop policies that will remake the entire executive branch.
First and foremost, must be a redefinition of what a federal employee is. The employee serves at the whim of the president. Period. Any federal employee can and should be fired if they are not there to do the work of the people. No more federal employee unions. There should also be a prohibition of federal employee’s contributions to candidates for federal offices. We’re the boss of the politicians. The politicians are the boss of the government. In what sane world can an employee bribe their boss?
If the president can mandate questionable inoculations for federal employees, then certainly, he or she, in partnership with congress, can absolutely change the federal bureaucracy.
Within those changes must be a complete leadership and policy overhaul of the military, the intelligence apparatus, and the justice department (including the FBI). There are a multitude of cabinet level departments that no longer serve the people. Abolish them, fold necessary programs into surviving departments, and mandate that each department begin the budgetary process at zero and justify all proposed future fiscal year spending.
Secondly, there must be massive changes within the legislative branch. Term limits for house members and a repeal of the 17th Amendment so the states, not the people, can select their representatives, the senators.
Internally, congress must mandate balanced budgets which can only be overturned in cases of emergency by two-thirds of both houses and the signature of the president. There should never, ever be an omnibus budget bill and there should never be continuing resolutions.
A new Republican congress has to examine and plan for the repayment of the national debt. It must order an audit of the Federal Reserve and actually examine its governing role over our economy. It should answer the basic question: Why do we need a centralized banking system?
These are all issues that a vast majority of Americans will support if we can climb out from under the mountainous weight of false narratives and the politics of personal destruction.
There are a ton more but it is a start. This will be what we discuss in the months ahead and how we can all work to make the necessary changes to reestablish our nation to the dream it once was.
Thanks for reading! I’ll be back up and running soon now that the kids are gone and the trips around the American West are done—at least for now. Thank you for letting me invade your email box every so often!
