I have to admit that the Hunter Biden MacBook discovery is salacious to the point of great distraction. We are missing the finer points. No matter the number of hookers, money, and blow he consumed, it is not the news on which we should focus. There is a very provable case that a sitting President committed major crimes as a sitting Vice President. Are these crimes still being committed? Do these past crimes rise to the level of high crimes and misdemeanors and can we link these past crimes to the current office holder? We should be investigating these allegations—which I am guessing will be undertaken by a new congress—and determine whether the crimes are ongoing or were committed while as President. The thought of impeaching him, while appealing, may actually do more harm as we have a sitting Vice President who has more difficulty stringing together coherent thoughts than the mentally addled President. God help us.
And I thought Obama chose Biden as impeachment insurance.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.”
Alexander Fraser Tytler, Lord Woodhouselee
