“What we’re seeing now is the beginning or the death knell of an extreme MAGA philosophy. It’s not just Trump, it’s the entire philosophy that underpins the — I’m going to say something, it’s like semi-fascism.”
—President Joe Biden, August 25, 2022
We will never forget the image projected by our federal government: a frail, cognitively challenged man suddenly on fire, bathed in devilish red light, flanked by U.S. Marines, and pounding his fists as he dehumanized his political opponents.
This speech on September 1, 2022 at Independence Hall in Philadelphia isn’t a scene from The Empire Strikes Back and I think we’ve all stomached enough of the most divisive speech ever given by a sitting U.S. President. So, this isn’t a rehash. This is a settling of a dispute.
Fascist or not fascist?
This speech, like that of past dictatorial regimes, paves the way for the denial of fundamental rights to a class of citizens that oppose their power. And, well, it kind of sounded full-fascist. Nothing semi- about it.
Let’s remember what fascism is. It is a construct of the left—don’t let the faux intellectual elite class fool you with it being a “far-right” movement. As I’ve said before, it is the lazy man’s socialism; its economic goals are the same as socialism but instead of seizing the means of production, it utilizes heavy regulation of private property and a partnership and coordination with corporations to achieve its end. As a political movement it embraces intimidation, violence, and the subjugating of citizen classes as enemies of the state in order to gain and retain power.
While most of us scratch our head over being labeled fascists (as the “far-right” believes in maximizing liberty and free markets) the left knows what they are and, as they are apt to do, project their deeds and beliefs upon their enemies.
So, let’s play a game: fascist or not fascist.
From: Remarks by President Biden on the Continued Battle for the Soul of the Nation
(Quotes from the speech are in bold.)
“Too much of what’s happening in our country today is not normal.”
The obvious, of course, is inflation, recession, supply chain disruptions, crop failures, destroying the domestic energy industry… and the list goes on and on. Not normal, of course and many argue that it is deliberate.
But what about using the full power of the federal government to raid the compound of your political enemy?
What about raiding and harassing the supporters of your political enemy?
What about allowing raucous and threatening protests outside of Supreme Court justices’ homes—violating federal law—in order to influence court decisions?
What about holding January 6 defendants for over a year and a half in tortuous and sub-human conditions while murderers and rapists walk with no bail?
What about refusing to secure the border with Mexico?
What about conspiring with one agency to subvert another?
The U.S. Marshals Service is drafting a sanctuary policy that would limit the agency’s ability to hold illegal immigrants for pickup by ICE, The Washington Times has learned.
Under the policy, marshals would not be able to hold illegal immigrants for pickup by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on the say-so of an immigration warrant, or “detainer” request. Once the Marshals Service is finished processing an immigrant for its custody purposes, the person is to be released even if ICE has asked for a hold.
No, none of that is what we could call normal. Verdict?

“They refuse to accept the results of a free election. And they’re working right now, as I speak, in state after state to give power to decide elections in America to partisans and cronies, empowering election deniers to undermine democracy itself.”
How Democrats Attempted a 2016 Electoral College Coup—The Clinton campaign pushed the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax onto the Electoral College in an attempt to interfere with the final elector count. Operatives schemed to have the great arbiter of truth, DNI James Clapper, present a briefing to all of the electors “confirming” Trump as a Russian puppet.
Democrats are also well versed in denying election results. They even used rhetoric that sounds familiar to those concerned with the 2020 election results.
Rep. Maxine Waters, a California Democrat, promoted a conspiracy theory whereby enough votes were switched from Kerry to Bush by voting machines and enough voters were wrongly purged from voter rolls that it “could have been” determinative of the result in Ohio and, thus, the whole presidential election.
From a 2017 article:
The last time Congressional Democrats peaceably accepted a GOP victory in the Electoral College was 1988. In 2000, 2004 and 2016, Democrats in Congress objected, tried to object, and generally disrupted the process of certifying the Electoral College vote. They did so with no substantive grounds, instead just for the political theater of it.
Staying with the Star Wars allusion from above, Jabba the Hut, a.k.a. Jerry Nadler, actually said: "We cannot rely on an election to solve our problems…”
Then there’s the administration’s scheme to use the federal government to provide “voting access”.
…the President signed an Executive Order to leverage the resources of the federal government to increase access to voter registration services and information about voting…
What in the Constitution allows for the federal government to police elections? What “access” and “information” are they providing?
Talking about election deniers. Verdict?
